In the winter months (September to April) Leicester Association members meet on the second Tuesday evening of each month at the Premier Inn Leicester Braunstone South, Leicester, LE3 2FW, located on Braunstone Lane East at its junction with Narborough Road. Refreshments served from 6.45 pm, Talk at 7.30 pm.
Meetings include talks on a range of subjects, some on National Trust subjects, others on topics of interest to like-minded NT members and supporters. Afternoon meetings, successfully introduced in 2004, now feature in the regular winter programme. These daytime meetings, less formal than the evening meetings, are popular social occasions.
In the summer we arrange coach outings to places of interest. These are usually National Trust properties or English Heritage locations, some near to home, others further afield.
Fundraising events are held throughout the year, such as the annual Autumn Fair.
Many of our members also provide volunteer support for the National Trust, such as working as stewards or helping with events at local properties, or giving talks to outside groups.
