Mansfield Centre was founded in 1983 and currently has more than 100 members in the Mansfield area.
Our objectives are to:
- promote the National Trust locally
- raise funds in its support
- arrange a programme of speakers between September and May
- and arrange visits and activities during the summer months.
In recent years we have we made donations to the following local National Trust properties; Clumber Park for benches and education work, Hardwick Hall for display screens, Southwell Workhouse for a projector screen, and donations to Sudbury Hall, and Longshaw Estate.
Mansfield Centre is independent of the National Trust and governed by a constitution common to all the charity’s Centres and Associations. Our affairs are conducted by a committee of officers and members who are elected at our annual general meeting held in March each year.
