Peterborough and Stamford Association was founded in 1979 and currently has 250 members drawn from a wide area in both Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire.
Our objectives are to:
- promote the National Trust locally
- raise funds for local and national properties
- enhance our knowledge of the work of the National Trust, and more, through lectures and outings.
We seek to do all this in a sociable and friendly setting, meeting alternately for lectures in Stamford and Peterborough.
Our Association is independent of the National Trust and governed by a constitution common to all the charity’s centres and associations. Our affairs are conducted by an active committee of officers and members elected at our AGM in November each year.
We support local properties – Woolsthorpe Manor, the Priest’s House, Lyveden New Bield – on a regular basis and other properties and activities elsewhere depending on their particular needs.
