Interested in making the most of the National Trust near you? Join your local group to enjoy special interest talks, visits, holidays and other social and fundraising events.
You'll also be helping a great cause - local groups support the work of the charity and raise hundreds of thousands of pounds every year for our conservation and access projects around the country.
About the group
Peterborough and Stamford Association was founded in 1979 and currently has 250 members drawn from a wide area in both Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire.
Our objectives are to:
- promote the National Trust locally
- raise funds for local and national properties
- enhance our knowledge of the work of the National Trust, and more, through lectures and outings.
We seek to do all this in a sociable and friendly setting, meeting alternately for lectures in Stamford and Peterborough.
Our affairs are conducted by an active committee of officers and members elected at our AGM in November each year. We financially support local properties - Woolsthorpe Manor, Belton House, The Priest’s House, Lyveden New Bield, - on a regular basis and other properties and activities elsewhere depending on their particular needs.
Our members provide volunteer support at all four local properties.
