Myles Brazil, Warden on Longshaw Estate
'The Longshaw Estate is a beautiful place to visit at any time of the year, but during August and September when the heather is in full bloom it is truly spectacular. With over 1600 acres of countryside to explore it is an excellent place to enjoy a day's walking.'

Barry Fraser, Senior Warden on South Peak Estate
'Ilam is a great place to enjoy the tranquillity of the Manifold Valley, walk through beautiful parkland with views of Dovedale, and explore the "boil holes", where the water from the Manifold and Hamps rivers rises up. What more could you ask for?'

Chris Millner, Warden on High Peak Estate
'If I were to pick a 'favourite place' within the High Peak Estate it would have to be Mam Tor or Winnats Pass. Mam Tor has fantastic views over the Hope and Edale valleys and also provides a glimpse into how our ancestors would have lived, as it was also an ancient hill-fort site. Winnats Pass with its spectacular limestone rock formations is a geological marvel.'

Jannette Mellor, Holiday Cottage Caretaker and Manager of Wetton Mill Tea-room
'Wetton Mill is a great base for a walk along the Manifold Valley or over the tops of Wetton or Ossam's Hills. The Manifold Valley runs parallel to Dovedale with the same beautiful scenery, but it is much more tranquil. Visitors can cycle on the Manifold Trail.'
