In the East Midlands we have a team of volunteer speakers who enjoy giving talks and slide presentations on a wide range of subjects reflecting the work of the National Trust.

They share some of the stories and secrets behind our properties and spread the word about the important work the Trust is doing to conserve Britain’s heritage.
Talks cover many different aspects of the Trust’s work from the Neptune Coastline Campaign, Conservation in the Countryside to Caring for House Contents.
Talks can be arranged during the day or in the evening for groups of any size and can be tailored to the group’s particular interests.
There is no set fee but groups wanting a talk will be asked to cover the volunteer speaker’s expense.
Donations are also suggested of around £1 per head to help continue the Trust’s conservation and restoration work.
To book a talk or find out more about what is on offer from the Voluntary Talks Service contact the Talks Service Coordinator Louise Budd on 01909 511007 or by email at louise.budd@nationaltrust.org.uk
The National Trust is always interested to hear from people who would like to join our Talks Service team. If you feel you could enthral a group with your speaking skills and enthusiasm for the Trust’s work contact Lynne for more details.
