If it is an organised walk you are looking for, then you will be spoilt for choice. Through countryside and historic estates, or along remote and beautiful stretches of coastline, there is something for everyone. Here are some that might tickle your fancy.
Blickling Estate Walks Blickling Hall, Norfolk New Year’s Day, 2pm Join National Trust Walk Leaders for a guided walk to discover a little history of the Blickling Estate. Assemble by the Barn in the main car park to depart at 2pm. The walk will take approximately 1 ½ - 2 hours and lead back to the main car park. Parking fees apply. £2.

Winter Birds of the Deben Estuary Sutton Hoo, Suffolk Sunday 3 January, 10am–1pm A beautiful winter walk through the Sutton Hoo estate, looking for ducks, geese, waders and other avian visitors to the river. Soup and a hot pudding to follow. £14, booking essential on 01394 389700.
Walk with the Warden Dunwich Heath, Suffolk Wednesday 6 January, 10am–12 pm Over indulged over the festive period? Constable Country Ramble: Lawford and Dedham Flatford, Suffolk Saturday 16 January, 10am–1.30pm Join one of our experienced guides for a 3 hour (6 mile) ramble, first crossing Dedham Vale to reach Lawford Church and then following the southern side of the Vale to Dedham, before returning to Flatford. £5 per person, booking essential on 01206 298260.
