About the group
This Centre was founded in 1967 initially to support 'Enterprise Neptune', now renamed The Neptune Coastal Campaign. Our current membership is approximately 600 drawn from Epping, Theydon Bois, Woodford, Wanstead and Leytonstone.
Centre members must be a member of the National Trust but if you come to our Winter talks at the Sir James Hawkey Hall (entrance fee £3) you may enrol in the Centre and your entrance fee will be refunded. Alternatively phone 020 8504 9982.
We have donated £230,000 to various National Trust enterprises since inception. This has been raised through days out in the summer, visits to London sites and talks during the winter, plus an annual holiday to places in the UK and abroad and a Biannual May Fair. These day trips and holidays are the ideal venture to meet new people in a relaxed setting when we take our ease in the hotels at dinner and during the evening and enjoy a coffee or 'cuppa' at various venues
