Interested in making the most of the National Trust near you? Join your local group to enjoy special interest talks, visits, holidays and other social and fundraising events.
You'll also be helping a great cause - local groups support the work of the charity and raise hundreds of thousands of pounds every year for our conservation and access projects around the country.
About the group
Our association was founded in 1979. We currently have 391 members in the Ipswich region of East Suffolk.
We support the National Trust properties at Dunwich Heath, Orford Ness, Sutton Hoo and Flatford. We have grant-aided all of these places from our funds which come from surpluses on our social activities.
Our affairs are conducted by a Committee drawn from our membership. All committee members have tasks and work well together. We are independent of the National Trust and are governed by the constitution which is common to all centres and associations.
