North Herts Association was founded in 1980 and currently has 400 members in the area.
Our objectives are to promote the National Trust locally, raise funds in its support, and arrange a programme of events and activities to enrich members understanding of its work.
Among the National Trust properties we support are Shaw’s Corner and Wimpole Hall. For example some of our members give their time as Stewards at Shaw’s Corner, and we have raised funds to enable the National Trust to improve access for disabled visitors at Anglesey Abbey.
North Herts Association is independent of the National Trust and governed by a constitution common to all the charity's centres and associations. Our affairs are conducted by a committee of officers and members who are elected at our annual general meeting held in May each year.
