About the group
Chelmsford & District Centre was founded in 1975 and currently has over 500 members who live in Chelmsford, Great Baddow, Great Waltham and Billericay, together with the surrounding areas.
Our objectives are to promote the National Trust locally, raise funds in its support, and arrange a programme of events and activities to enrich members’ understanding of its work and other aspects of our heritage.
Among the National Trust properties we support are Danbury and Lingwood Commons, Hatfield Forest and the Coggeshall Grange Barn
