Thinking about volunteering and want to be part of a group? Our volunteer groups help our staff with hands-on involvement, organising conservation days and weekend events. Activities range from footpath and step construction to planting and coppicing.
CNTV members share an interest in historic properties and conservation areas found within the UK. We've been in existence over 25 years, and as an independant volunteer group, we actively support the National Trust by giving up some of our time to help preserve and maintain their properties.
Our work is typically on Sundays at Trust properties in the Cambridgeshire area. We also plan several longer working weekends further afield during the year, staying overnight at the property basecamp.
Skills?
There is something for everyone; gardening, stewarding, hedge-laying, tree planting, fencing …the list is endless. We aim to enjoy our tasks and learn new skills. Safety is important, each task begins with a safety talk and instruction on using the tools.
