Here are just a few of the amazing places you can discover in your area this summer:
- Unwind in the tranquil setting of Blickling Hall and let the kids burn off some of their energy in the park. Step into the house and discover how both the wealthy and servants once lived and worked. There’s even the chance to meet Buttons the Clown, Potty Harry the Wizard and Captain Funny Bones the Pirate!
- Explore the outdoor space that Sheringham Park has to offer. Pick up your children’s bug boxes and picnic bags from the refreshment kiosk and enjoy this beautiful setting. Why not borrow a Tracker Pack from the visitor centre and see how many birds, animals and trees you can identify?
- Enjoy a fun packed family day out at Sutton Hoo. From the viewing platform you can gaze upon the amazing landscape with its burial ground for Anglo-Saxon kings, warriors and priceless treasures. Then if you’re brave enough you can go on a Gruesome Graves family tour.
- Not to be missed is a visit to Ickworth House this summer, a great place to go for the kids to let off some steam. There’s a huge park to explore, a cycle route to enjoy, a fantastically eccentric house to get lost in and a play area to keep the kids entertained. There are so many events to join in with; you will be spoilt for choice.
- Discover a variety of craft activities at Wimpole Hall, or make your way down the path to Home Farm where you will find pigs, horses, cows, goats and many more. With daily demonstrations, not forgetting an adventure playground the kids will thank you for taking them.
- Enjoy the outdoor space that Wicken Fen has to offer. With pond pandemonium, ponies galore, slimy slugs and wiggly worms, not to mention fairies, pixies and potions too, this is a great spot to become a wildlife detective and get lost in the magic of the reserve.
