About the group
North Down & Ards Association provides our members first and foremost with friendship with others who appreciate the beauty and history of the area in which we live and also the satisfaction of knowing that we are helping to fund Trust projects.
Our programme offers talks on many interesting topics such as the history of Belfast’s water supply and ‘Tying the Knot’, about traditions in Irish marriages over the centuries. Walks are arranged throughout the year in order that members can enjoy the diversity of our beautiful coastal and mountain scenery and a series of coach trips are included that allow us to discover historic properties across the region.
Included in the programme are many opportunities when members can socialise including the Association’s Christmas Dinner held each year in the elegant surroundings of the Royal Ulster Golf Club. Do come and join us – you would be made very welcome.
Our membership enquiry contact will be happy to tell you more about us.
