A great location for club meets and a venue from which to run courses.
Low Wray is a large spectacularly located campsite on the quiet western shore of Windermere.
The campsite has an area specifically designated for organised groups which may be booked in advance. This area may be used by Scouts, Duke of Edinburgh groups, Sailing or Walking clubs for example.
Please read our terms and conditions.
Group site description: The group area is a natural wooded area with clearings, with some lakeshore access. The undeveloped nature of the site leaves the camper with a sense of camping in the wild.
The characteristics of each clearing vary to allow some scope to match with the needs of your group. For example some clearings are next to the road, some next to the lake, some can accommodate a marquee, some clearings are close together. Please note that the group area is not level and can be quite rocky in places. It is possible to put up a marquee in some of the clearings.
Please note that few clearings allow you to park next to the camping area.
Watersports: Low Wray’s group site boasts a very sheltered bay area which is particularly good for beginners at sailing, canoeing or windsurfing.
Campsite Rules:
