Camping pods available at Great Langdale and Wasdale campsites for a limited period only. Also on trial at Low Wray Campsite.

The pods

• are locally built from wood
• provide an attractive, dry and spacious camping area
• have a window and double-glazed, lockable French doors
• are designed to cut down the noise of heavy rain and offer a degree of sound insulation
• have sheep wool insulation inside the walls for winter warmth
• have a special foil layer under the roof to keep Summer temperatures down
• the pods at Wasdale have a small heater
• accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child. Not suitable for more than 2 adults

Pod guests will require all camping equipment except for their tent. Sorry but dogs are not permitted inside.

Family pods

• now available at all Great Langdale, Wasdale and  Low Wray Campsites, suitable for up to 2 adults and 3 children

Fees 2009

• Low Season (until 30/04/09 and from 5/10/09) : £30 including parking for one vehicle , family pod £35
• Mid season (from 5/05/09 until 16/07/09, and from 1/09/09 until 04/10/09) : £35 including parking for one vehicle, family pod £40
• High season and bank holiday weekends (17/07/09 until 31/08/09) : £40 including parking for one vehicle, family pod £45

Book a pod from Monday - Thursday from 1 November until 14 December for £20 per night.
