Interested in making the most of the National Trust near you? Join your local group to enjoy special interest talks, visits, holidays and other social and fundraising events.
You'll also be helping a great cause - local groups support the work of the charity and raise hundreds of thousands of pounds every year for our conservation and access projects around the country.
About the group
Bolton Association was founded in 1986 and currently has some 300 members in Bolton, Bury and surrounding areas of Greater Manchester. To join you must first be a member of the National Trust (or affiliated Trust) or an NT Volunteer.
Our objectives are to promote the National Trust locally, raise funds in its support and enable members to derive more enjoyment from their membership. In recent years we have contributed various sums in support of a wide range of projects at different North West properties including Lyme Park, Dunham Massey, Speke Hall, Quarry Bank and Sizergh Castle.
Our programme of events includes meetings in the winter months with speakers on subjects of interest, lunches and other social events, coach trips to places of interest and short holidays in most years. Our regular members enjoy these opportunities to meet with others sharing similar interests.
