The National Trust Chester Centre was founded in 1971 to promote and prosper the work of the National Trust. We have a membership of between 350 and 400, a number which has remained more or less constant for the last decade.
We are one of nearly 200 local National Trust associations and centres.
Our objectives are to:
- promote the work of the National Trust locally
- raise funds in its support
- recruit new members
- arrange a program of social events, trips, holidays and other activities to increase members enjoyment of the above tasks
The National Trust Chester Centre is a financially independent organisation and is governed by a constitution which has served us well for more than 35 years.
A committee of officers manages the Centre business and members are elected at our annual general meeting held in April each year.
There is a programme committee, generally formed from main committee members, which organises the many social activities.
The contact details of the Secretary and Membership Secretary can be found on the Centre website: www.chestercentre-nationaltrust.org.uk
