The East Cheshire Association of National Trust Members was founded in 1986 and currently has over 500 members in the East Cheshire area.
Our objectives are to promote social activities to make membership of the National Trust more enjoyable and to promote and prosper the work of the National Trust.
Since 1986 the East Cheshire Association of National Trust Members has raised over £100,000 and donated this to a range of National Trust properties and projects. In 2007 we supported a variety of projects including Lyme Park to restore the ponds by sponsoring the head warden, Emily Orford's walk to Windsor.
The East Cheshire Association of National Trust Members is independent of the National Trust and governed by a constitution common to all the charity’s centres and associations. A committee of officers manages the Association and its members serve for a three-year period and are elected at our annual general meeting held each November.
