Interested in making the most of the National Trust near you? Join your local group to enjoy special interest talks, visits, holidays and other social and fundraising events.
You'll also be helping a great cause - local groups support the work of the charity and raise hundreds of thousands of pounds every year for our conservation and access projects around the country.
About the group
The East Cheshire Association of National Trust Members was founded in 1986 with the intention of promoting social activities that help to promote and prosper the work of the National Trust.
We currently have over 500 members who benefit from a comprehensive programme of events – including lectures, outings, walks and holidays all of which are well supported.
We use these events to raise funds for the National Trust and in 2008 we donated £7000 towards projects in each of the properties local to our Association; including hearing loops at Quarry Bank Mill, raised tubs for the Sensory garden at Biddulph Grange, bulbs for the winter garden at Dunham Massey, plants for the walled garden at Hare Hill, audio tours at Formby, and the redevelopment of the library at Lyme Park.
Our Association is open to National Trust Members and to Volunteers and we are always keen to welcome new members!
