From September through to April the East Cheshire Association of National Trust Members runs a lectures programme every second Tuesday afternoon and on the third Thursday evening of every month, at St Michael’s Church Hall, Bramhall.
Talks include a range of heritage subjects and allow members to socialise with like-minded people. This year’s programme includes talks on hotel security, being a vet’s wife, Crichton Porteous, Peakland writer and the history of Wilmslow.
We arrange day visits and this year outings include Lichfield, Calke Abbey, Sizergh, Snowshill Manor, a canal trip and a chocolate manufacturer!
Other activities include a holiday to the Gardens of Kent and National Trust properties, a weekend break in Glasgow, and a Christmas lunch.
We also have walks each month ranging from a town walk to a geological walk, interspersed with country walks and rambles in Derbyshire and Cheshire.
The programme is for guidance only and may change.
