About the group
The North Cheshire Centre was founded in 1972 and currently has some 300 members in the area of Altrincham and Wilmslow. Amongst National Trust properties supported are the local: Dunham Massey, Quarry Bank Mill and Tatton Park.
Members can meet others with similar interests at a variety of social and fundraising events. A luncheon club meets regularly throughout the year visiting local hostelries.
During spring and summer a coach holiday and day outings are arranged so members may visit places of interest, near and far, including Trust properties. There are guided walks with optional stops for either lunch or afternoon tea and a specially prepared May tea with entertainment.
In autumn and winter members meet for talks on various subjects including heritage, history and far-off places, during the interval refreshments are served. There is also an Autumn and traditional Christmas lunch and a party supper with entertainment.
