Seven Sisters, Crowlink & Birling Gap
Stretching between Birling Gap and Cuckmere Haven are the gleaming white cliffs of the Seven Sisters, eroded continuously by the sea. They are an impressive sight both from the cliff tops and from the beach below and there are some lovely walks across rolling downland with spectacular views out to sea.
The downland is filled with a variety of plants including Salad Burnett, Vipers Bugloss and Dropwort. It is also home to a variety of bird species including the skylark whose beautiful song can be heard on summer strolls. The flowers and vast range of grasses here also host a myriad of insects and in the summer the air is filled with butterflies.
