During the winter, the Association meets at approximately monthly intervals for a programme of talks of wide and varied interest. In recent years, these have included topics such as: bricks and brickwork in Kent, John Betjeman, the seaside holiday in art, Queen Elizabeth I in contemporary portraits and the work of the Gateway to the White Cliffs. These meetings take place at St. Andrew’s United Reformed Church in the centre of Canterbury at 2.30 pm on a Wednesday afternoon.
During the summer we arrange a programme of visits and short break holidays to places of interest. This programme may include country and village walks as well as visits to houses and gardens and usually a short holiday.
Other social and fundraising events usually include a coffee morning and bring and buy sale, and a Christmas lunch.
