Our main activities are visits to places of interest in London, as well as rambles and coach outings. We have three or four coach outings each year, mainly to National Trust properties and usually on Saturdays, between March and October. These depart from Bressenden Place opposite Victoria Station. Recent visits have been to Tyntesfield, Anglesey Abbey and Wimpole Hall.
The London visits take place throughout the year, mainly on weekdays, with an average of five in each four-month programme. Recent visits have been to the Charterhouse, Lambeth Palace Library, Clarence House, Fishmongers’ Hall and the Ragged School Museum. The summer programme often includes a walk with a blue badge guide.
We organise a rambling programme throughout the year with walks of about six miles at approximately fortnightly intervals. These start from a mainline or underground station and include a pub lunch half way.
