Interested in making the most of the National Trust near you? Join your local group to enjoy special interest talks, visits, holidays and other social and fundraising events.
You'll also be helping a great cause - local groups support the work of the charity and raise hundreds of thousands of pounds every year for our conservation and access projects around the country.
About the group
We hold meetings, with speakers, between September and May each year, normally on the second Monday of the month. These begin at 7.30pm and cover a wide range of subjects, including National Trust topics, conservation, heritage and applied art. Meetings are usually held in Wormestall Hall, St Bartholomew’s School, Newbury.
Throughout the year we arrange visits to places of interest, such as National Trust properties and other houses and gardens. We also organise theatre and event trips and social functions. Funds raised from these activities are given to the National Trust; to date we have raised over £54,000.
