In winter we meet at Burgh House in Hampstead for a talk on the fourth Thursdays of October, November, January, February and March. We have visits to interesting places in London recently we went to the Round House, Museum of Garden History, and Clarence House. In summer we arrange midweek coach trips to places of interest outside London, such as Coughton Court, Baddesley Clinton, Chevenage House and Newark Park. We have annually a 5-6 day holiday to a good centre for sightseeing: in 2006 we stayed in Durham. We have a New Year lunch combined with a short visit, by coach, to a nearby place of interest; we have a Garden Party in July at Fenton House, and our AGM in December is a brisk affair, at which we allocate about £2000 to selected appeals for funding, listen to a speaker and have time to socialise over the tea-tables.
