Interested in making the most of the National Trust near you? Join your local group to enjoy special interest talks, visits, holidays and other social and fundraising events.
You'll also be helping a great cause - local groups support the work of the charity and raise hundreds of thousands of pounds every year for our conservation and access projects around the country.
About the group
Welwyn Hatfield District Association meets once a month at St Francis Church Hall, Welwyn Garden City, usually for a talk on a heritage related subject. Hidden Treasures in the Hertfordshire Archives, George Bernard Shaw and Church memorials have featured in our past programmes.
In addition there are many other opportunities incorporated within our programme for members to socialise with each other; for example at the fund-raising events which include an annual garden party, a Christmas party and a photographic competition. Also included in our programme are five or six coach outings per year to National Trust properties and other buildings of interest for our membership to enjoy.
We also offer an opportunity to participate in an annual holiday each September with our members having enjoyed visits to Derbyshire and Cumbria in the past.
Do come and join us – you would be made very welcome.
