The Oxford Centre was founded in 1968 and currently has 700 members from in and around Oxford.
Our objectives are to promote the National Trust locally, raise funds for its support and arrange a programme of events and activities for members to enjoy.
Each year we support the Neptune Coastline Campaign and regularly provide funds which assist local schools to visit National Trust properties.
In the past we have supported a variety of projects which have included the funding of a Batricar at Stowe Landscape Garden, the restoration of the clock in the car park at Basildon Park, dressing-up outfits (for children) and curtains for the Peaches at The Vyne, to name but a few.
The Oxford Centre is independent of the National Trust and governed by a constitution common to all the charity’s centres and associations. Our affairs are conducted by a committee of officers and members who are elected at our annual general meeting held each year in April.
