Interested in making the most of the National Trust near you? Join your local group to enjoy special interest talks, visits, holidays and other social and fundraising events.

You'll also be helping a great cause - local groups support the work of the charity and raise hundreds of thousands of pounds every year for our conservation and access projects around the country.

About the group

The Reading Centre is a voluntary group of around 600 National Trust members from Reading and the surrounding area.

We arrange an extensive programme of events including evening and afternoon talks, day visits to National Trust properties and other places of interest, theatre trips, walks and holidays at home and abroad.

Among the National Trust Properties we support are Basildon Park, Greys Court, Cliveden and The Vyne, Hinton Ampner and Mottisfont Abbey.

Many of our members also provide volunteer support for the National Trust, for example working as stewards at some of the above properties or helping with events.
