About the group
The Dyffryn Clwyd Association is a small but friendly group of members, passionate about upholding the work of the Trust. Membership comes mainly from the Ruthin, Denbigh and Mold areas and we love to welcome new members. The Association organises a varied programme with our lectures during the winter months held at Llanrhaeadr Village School.
In the summer there are outings arranged which often includes homes which are usually closed to the general public, or a private tour with an architectural historian or gardener to make it a special experience. Forthcoming events include a Study Day on the history of chintz, a lecture on Tyntesfield and a visit to an unusual private garden.
In the past few years we have been able to fund conservation projects at Chirk Castle, Erddig and Plas Yn Rhiw. In addition donations have been made to Craflwyn and the Neptune Appeal.
