About the group
The Menai Association, founded in 1976, is a voluntary association of National Trust Members and volunteers. Our objectives are to support the charitable work of the Trust and to make membership more enjoyable and effective.
We welcome new members who must be members of the Trust or an affiliated group like the National Trust for Scotland, or holders of a National Trust Volunteer Card.
We have about 200 members who live in North-west Wales.
We help to support the National Trust properties on the Isle of Anglesey, especially Plas Newydd where many of our members are Volunteers. Our support includes funding restoration of artefacts and improvement of amenities in the grounds including, recently, the construction of a new courtyard garden.
On winter evenings, we enjoy talks on a range of heritage subjects.
In summer, there is a holiday, day trips and events at Plas Newydd including the annual Summer Fair.
We would like to tell you more about our group; you will find details of our membership enquiry contact here and information about our current activities here
