About the group
Merioneth Association’s (Cymdeithas Meirionnydd) programme offers members opportunities to discover and explore this country’s heritage through a series of talks and visits. For example we recently enjoyed a guided tour and explanation of the Glaslyn Osprey project and a trip by coach and train to the new Trust facility at the top of Snowdon and plan to visit Chester in the future.
The series of lunches and coffee mornings, at a variety of locations, enable our members to get to know each other whilst the escorted walks get some of us out into the fresh air.
Our fundraising has helped to part fund the renovation of dry stone walling at Craflwyn near Beddgelert and provide a replica table as part of the restoration of Egryn, the Trust`s only property in Meirionnydd and we have provided stewards to help at all of Egryn open days.
