The Wrexham National Trust Association was founded in 1976 and currently has more than 440 members, predominately in the Wrexham, Mold and Buckley areas.
Our objectives are to promote the National Trust locally, to raise funds in its support and to arrange an annual programme of events and activities designed to enhance the benefits of National Trust membership.
All monies raised are used to support special projects at Erddig Hall in Wrexham and almost £93,000 has been donated since 1981. In 2005 alone, the National Trust was able to complete the renovation of the Victorian children’s playhouse and the reconstructed vinery with a donation of £9,500 from the association.
The Wrexham association is independent of the National Trust and governed by a constitution common to all the charity’s centres and associations. Our affairs are conducted by a committee of officers and members who are elected at our annual general meeting held in February each year.
