Welcome to the National Trust's Wessex Region, which covers Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Dorset, and the conurbations of Bath and Bristol.
We care for a diverse range of more than 50 properties, from the majestic civil war ruin of Corfe Castle in Dorset, to the renowned landscape garden of Stourhead in Wiltshire.
In the Cotswolds, Snowshill Manor houses Japanese samurai armour as part of its eccentric collection. The world famous Hidcote Manor Garden is close by, as is Chedworth Roman Villa, the Trust’s oldest stately home.
You can see everything from red squirrels at Brownsea Island in Dorset, to the National Portrait Gallery’s collection of 16th and 17th-century paintings, exhibited at Montacute House in Somerset.
