The East Dorset Association is a voluntary body of around 750 National Trust members and volunteers founded in 1988. Our membership comes mainly from the areas of Ferndown, Wimborne, Verwood, West Moors, Ashley Heath and Merleybut we welcome new members from anywhere in the East Dorset area.
The Association’s objectives are to promote and prosper actively the work of the National Trust and to organise social activities to make membership of the National Trust more enjoyable.
In addition to regular donations to National Trust properties, such as Kingston Lacy and Brownsea Island, special fund raising events are arranged from time to time in support of National Trust appeals, for example, Neptune Coastline Campaign and the acquisition of Tyntesfield, near Bristol.
We are governed by a constitution approved by the National Trust and run by a democratically elected management committee appointed at our AGM in November each year.
We would be delighted to see you and our membership secretary will be pleased to forward a copy of our latest newsletter / programme to anyone interested in becoming a member.
