The Association was founded in 1971 and is a voluntary association of National Trust members living in the area of North and West Wiltshire centred on Bradford on Avon, Trowbridge and Melksham but also with members from further away such as Chippenham, Devizes, Malmesbury and Warminster.
We currently have more than 600 members who have the opportunity to meet socially and to take part in activities of mutual interest, with the objective of raising funds for The National Trust. We aim as far as possible to support local National Trust properties such as Lacock, The Courts at Holt and Great Chalfield Manor, but when funds allow or when there are urgent calls for support we may give to more distant properties.
The Association is run by a small committee which meets monthly to arrange activities and to provide liaison with National Trust central and regional offices.
