About the group
The West Somerset Association was founded in 1982 and has some 400 members living in Minehead, Porlock, Dunster, Williton and the surrounding villages to Bridgwater, Taunton and Exmoor.
Our objectives are to promote and support the National Trust by arranging a programme of events and activities for our members’ participation and enjoyment thereby raising funds in support of National Trust projects. All NT members or volunteer card holders are welcome to join.
Enjoyable fund raising events are organised in a programme of talks, outings, social functions and short holiday breaks. These contribute to the facilities at local properties we support of Dunster Castle and the Holnicote Estate. Some of our members are volunteer workers at these properties.
Membership of our group gives you the opportunity to meet new, interesting people with similar interests in the world of heritage.
