Getting involved with the National Trust in Wessex might be one of the best things you ever do.
Over 4,000 people currently volunteer with us in the region, contributing a staggering 216,685 hours of work per year.
We are determined to celebrate, champion and increase this community involvement.
'There are many reasons why people choose to become volunteers' says James McQuaid, Community, Learning & Volunteering Manager for Wessex.
'Some are retired and ready to take up a new interest, while others appreciate the social dimension and the contact with people. There is the opportunity to learn new skills and play a part in conservation work, get work experience or add to your CV. Above all, there is the chance to get to know some of our most fascinating buildings and beautiful areas of countryside at close quarters.'
Range of roles
There is a wide variety of options for you to choose from - try your hand at anything from a house steward to a garden guide or a visitor reception helper to a countryside volunteer.
