A lasting legacy
From a small base, the Bristol Community Involvement project (BCIP) made a big impact. Between August 2002 – August 2005, the project:
- Involved 333 young people
- Facilitated 2,455 education visits
- Organised 5 adult education courses
- Provided 25 work experience placements
- Held events which over 2,400 people attended
- The project has also linked up with 49 organisations, many producing on-going partnerships
- The Trust warden team now works with local communities to manage their nearby National Trust sites
“During its lifetime, the BCIP proved to be hugely successful and produced some fantastic results, leaving behind a legacy embraced and continued by very dedicated staff and volunteers.”
Georgiana Hockin, Bristol Community Involvement Officer
