Autumn is a magical time of year, a time to indulge the senses: the fiery colours of the trees, the smell of bonfire smoke, the crackle and crunch of leaves on a woodland walk - and the taste of good food fresh from harvest!

Farmers' Markets
Find the pick of what's fresh, local and seasonal from farmers across the region. Markets are being held at:
- Montacute (25 Oct, 22 Nov and 13 Dec) in the old stable-yard.
- Dunster Castle (13 Dec) in the 17th-century stableblock beside the National Trust Shop. Includes chocolate, cheese and chutney!
- Stourhead (13 Dec) in stableyard. Ideal to prepare for your Christmas feast or for some perfect presents!

Apple Days
Celebrate all things apple-related as our orchards begin to fill with fruit.
- Westbury Court Garden in Gloucestershire (18/19 Oct)
A chance to try and buy apples and other fruit grown at Westbury Court and other National Trust gardens. Taste and buy apples from Roman to Edwardian times. Apple and Orchard Days, sponsored by Copella.

A celebration of Barrington Court's apples, involving an exhibition of the wide range of apples, a trail for families, music.

Fungi Forays
Fed up of the changeable weather? Well it's been the perfect climate for the most delicious mushrooms. Join our experts on a Fungi Foray - they'll not only help you identify the most common, but, more importantly, which ones can kill you!
