In autumn and spring we have monthly afternoon meetings where members can socialise with like-minded people and hear talks on a range of heritage subjects, such as wildlife on the River Severn and a journey through Indonesia.
Outings are arranged throughout the year. We visit properties, both National Trust (recently Berrington Hall and Croft Castle) and others (Westonbirt House and Broughton Castle) and have enjoyed theatre trips and visits to events such as the Malvern Spring Garden Show and the Queen’s 80th Birthday Exhibition.
We also have short-break holidays; this spring we went to the Ardennes. Our programme includes, too, social and fundraising events, such as a Christmas Lunch and a midsummer Cheese & Wine Evening.
Many of our members also provide volunteer support for the National Trust, for example working as stewards at our local properties of Chastleton, Snowshill Manor and Upton House, or helping with events.
