Herefordshire and the Marches Association was founded in 1988, and currently has about 350 members in Hereford and the surrounding area.
Our objectives are to promote the National Trust, raise funds in its support, and arrange a programme of events and activities to enrich members’ understanding of its work.
Among the National Trust properties we support are Berrington Hall, Croft Castle, Brockhampton Estate and The Weir garden. Among other donations this year we have paid to restore the Erhart piano at Berrington Hall back to working order.
Herefordshire and the Marches Association is independent of the National Trust and governed by a constitution common to all the charity’s centres and associations. Our affairs are conducted by a committee of officers and members who are elected at our annual general meeting held in October each year.
