About the group
The Rugby Association of National Trust members was founded in 1987 and currently has a membership of approximately 500 in the Rugby area.
Our objectives are to promote the National Trust, raise funds in its support and arrange a programme of meetings for talks, visits and other social activities.
Among the National Trust properties we support locally are Canons Ashby, Charlecote Park, Upton House & Gardens and the Birmingham Back to Backs. Some members of the Rugby Association act as volunteer and room stewards. Donations are made to various properties as well as national appeals.
The Rugby National Trust Association is independent of the National Trust and governed by a constitution common to all the charity's centres and associations. Our affairs are conducted by a committee of officers and members who are elected at our annual general meeting held in January each year.
