About the group
The Shropshire Centre was founded in 1972 and currently has 420 members in the County of Shropshire.
Our objectives are to promote the National Trust locally, raise funds in its support, and arrange a programme of events and activities to enrich members' understanding of its work.
Among the National Trust properties we support are Attingham Park, Dudmaston, Sunnycroft and the upland heath of the Long Mynd. Many of our members are volunteers at these properties.
Shropshire Centre is independent of the National Trust but is governed by a constitution common to all the Trust's centres and associations.
Our affairs are conducted by a committee of officers and members who are elected at our annual general meetings held in April each year.
