About the group
The Centre exists so that Trust Members and Volunteers can make more use of their association by meeting other members in a social atmosphere, in an annual programme of talks, walks, outings and short holidays. We also hold an annual lunch to which we invite a speaker..
The Centre was founded in 1973 and covers the area of mid-Staffordshire from Lichfield in the south, through Rugeley and Stafford, to Stone in the north, and surrounding areas. It currently has 300 members.
The objectives of the Centre are:
- to promote the work of the Trust. Providing volunteers for Shugborough.
- to arrange a programme of events for the social enjoyment of members.
- to support the Trust by contributing any surplus to the Trust.
By taking part in our activities you will also be helping to raise funds for Trust projects, such as those at Dudmaston Hall, Coughton Court, Shugborough and Wightwick Manor.
