Crufts, the greatest dog show in the world, will be taking place from 6 – 9 March 2008 at The NEC, Birmingham.
Officially recognised as the world’s largest dog show by the Guinness Book of Records, Crufts 2008 looks forward to expecting over 25,000 dogs, including around 1,000 dogs from overseas.
Over the four days of Crufts, the seven different pedigree dog groups are shown, and every day, as each group is judged, a Best in Group winner is chosen. Expect to see dazzling displays, Flyball, Agility, Heelwork to music and not to mention all of the hundreds of trade stands!

What is KC Dog?
As part of the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005, local authorities can now issue dog control orders. This means that authorities can now make Orders for standard offences including:
- Failing to remove dog faeces
- Not keeping a dog on a lead
- Not putting, and keeping, a dog on a lead when directed to do so
- Permitting a dog to enter land from which dogs are excluded
- Taking more than a specified number of dogs onto land
The Kennel Club is concerned that these provisions could result in local authorities introducing Orders due to the irresponsible behaviour by a minority at the expense of the majority of responsible dog owners. KC Dog was established to ensure all dog owners are aware of the new Orders that could be introduced in their areas.
