From sweeping landscapes to riverside walks, there is a huge variety of places to explore on foot this winter in the West Midlands.
If you’re looking for a challenge then why not tackle the Long Mynd in Shropshire or the Clent Hills, near Birmingham. Take in the stunning views from the top.
For gentler strolls, there are acres of parkland to wander through, and with nearly 18 per cent of the National Trust’s holding of parkland in the West Midlands, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
