Thinking about volunteering and want to be part of a group? Our volunteer groups help our staff with hands-on involvement, organising conservation days and weekend events. Activities range from footpath and step construction to planting and coppicing.
Marsden Moor Estate Volunteers have been working on the moors for over 20 years, spending much of their time helping to manage and restore the habitats to preserve this landscape for the future. Many of our volunteers commit time regularly to Marsden Moor Estate and can be found working on the property most days of the week.
There are a variety of tasks available from practical conservation to helping out in the office. Practical activities range from footpath and fence construction to heather spreading and cotton grass planting. Being a volunteer doesn’t limit you to any one type of activity and we welcome anyone who is keen!
We hold a monthly volunteers meeting which gives people the opportunity to input into the work of the property and a good chance to socialise.
