The County Durham Centre organises an extensive programme of day visits, holidays, talks and social events for their members.

The summer programme usually includes six day visits to historic houses, often including a number not normally open to the public, and gardens across the north of England and the Borders.

The holiday programme has recently included two five or six day trips to a wide variety of properties in various areas of the UK, as well as a winter short break. Day visits and holidays using coach transport pick up in Sunderland, Durham and Darlington.

Throughout the year the social programme provides a number of lunches and dinners in Sunderland and Durham, as well as visits to local venues of interest.

Over the winter there is a programme of six talks on a wide range of topics of interest to the membership, held in Durham each month.
