Want to be more involved with your favourite National Trust property? Join your favourite property's supporter group to enjoy social events and raise money for the property.
Working in partnership with staff, the groups have a special relationship with the property, helping to ensure that it flourishes and is enjoyed by the whole community.
About the group
The Friends of East Riddlesden Hall are a group of people who have an interest in both the history and the present day to day running of the property.
Our members, many of whom volunteer at the property, help the staff at events run by the property, and join in with our fundraising activities. Through their support we have funded a piece of equipment in the children's playground, helped with the cost of a new gown for the costumed interpreters, provided many items for the gardens and funded our Green Father Christmas’s outfit.
Socially we organise monthly talks through the winter on a variety of subjects for our membership; these are held usually on Saturday afternoons in the tea-room at the Hall. As this is the property’s closed season this programme allows members to catch up over tea and biscuits and to maintain their interest in the property..
