About the group
The Friends of Nostell Priory come from all walks of life and have a genuine interest in the future preservation, conservation and promotion of the property.
Arranged by a volunteer committee, our membership is offered a year round programme of social events ranging from talks to plays and musical evenings including visits to places of interest and a short break away.
Since our formation the Friends have raised over a quarter of a million pounds to support restoration and conservation projects at the property and occasionally, at the Church of Our Lady and St Michael in Wragby. This support has enabled the property to dress the State Dining Table; to restore the Library ceiling; to restore the Chinese lanterns, to commission the lantern on the North Staircase; clean the paintings in both the State Dining Room and the Saloon and to install a loop system at the Church.
